Ravens signed WR Nelson Agholor, formerly of the Patriots, to a one-year, $3.25 million contract.

24 March 2023

Anybody familiar with the Ravens' approach to the wide receiver position knew this move was coming after the team met with Agholor late last week. The Ravens have spent the last several seasons scraping the bottom of the barrel for wide receiver talent, with Dez Bryant, Sammy Watkins, and DeSean Jackson all being signed at various points. Now, Agholor will become the team's latest veteran signing. After an underwhelming two-year stint with the Patriots (68-835-5), Agholor now looks like the early favorite to serve as the Ravens' deep threat in 2023. He broke out for an impressive 48-896-8 (18.7 YPR) in his lone season with the Raiders, but two years later, that season looks like nothing more than a flash in the pan. The Ravens' wide receiver room has been so unimpressive, that Agholor is probably a minor upgrade. With that being said, he can be left off the fantasy radar. He can earn up to an extra $3 million in incentives.
