Chiefs signed DT Byron Cowart, formerly of the Colts, to a one-year contract.

Cowart appeared in 17 games for the Colts last season, totaling 12 tackles and two TFLs. He appeared on 229 defense snaps and was also a key contributor on special teams. He'll likely serve as added depth along the Chiefs' defensive line next season.
