ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Peyton Manning is not expected to be a candidate for the Colts’ general manager vacancy.

Manning was floated as a potential replacement for Chris Ballard after the latter was fired, but it was just baseless speculation. According to Schefter, the Colts have not discussed hiring Manning in any capacity. With no front office experience to his name and loads of media obligations to tend to, it doesn’t make sense for Manning to take a job with an NFL team at this time.
