Josh Allen completed 24-of-34 passes for 253 yards, no touchdowns, and two interceptions in the Bills’ 23-19, Week 12 loss to the Texans.

Allen and the Bills never fully settled in for this one, as the Texans’ No. 1 defense got after the 2024 MVP all evening to keep him off his mark. The eight sacks Allen took on Thursday were the most he’s taken in any game in his career, with two of those sacks coming on the Bills’ final drive of the game while they attempted to mount a comeback. The game didn’t feel as close as the final score would indicate. Allen’s first interception came on a poor read that resulted in a batted ball that was picked and nearly returned for a touchdown, but the Bills defense was able to hold the Texans to a field goal. On the final drive, Allen and the Bills converted a 4th and 27 thanks in part to an 11-yard reception by Josh Palmer that was immediately lateraled to Khail Shakir and turned upfield for another 33 yards. Allen would throw his second interception four plays later. Allen also suffered a hand/wrist injury in the first quarter of this one, but never missed a play, although it did appear to be aggravating him a bit on the final drive. It’s something to monitor entering next week, but assuming he’s good to go, Allen will be on the QB1 radar in Week 13’s game against the Steelers.
