Emari Demercado has already been ruled out with an ankle injury of his own. Trey Benson, on the other hand, has been designated to return from injured reserve. He could return this week, but the Cardinals don’t have to activate him for three more weeks. If he isn’t ready to suit up, Knight will get first crack at the early-down work for Arizona. Michael Carter would operate as the team’s top option on passing downs.
